When is peak foliage? More than the general area of Colorado or even a mountain range, it really depends on the specific valley and elevation. Bookmark this page for regular updates so you know exactly when and where to go for the best fall colors in Crested Butte starting mid-September. Now get out and enjoy some leaf-peeping.
Final Update - 10/14/24
There's not much color left around town and the neighboring valleys, but Kebler Pass still has some larger groves with a variety of colors. It looks like Wednesday will be the last day to leaf-peep this year, as rain and snow will most likely knock off the remaining foliage the rest of the week.
