We can’t wait for the lifts to start spinning and winter to kick off on mountain. Opening day typically has some small base area festivities tied to it. The snowfall and snow making operations will determine which lifts will be running at that time, and if the date is subject to change. 

For now, Vail Resorts does not plan to have the mountain access reservation system like they did last winter. The company has stated any necessary safety protocols will be communicated ahead of the season as the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve.
