The Crested Butte Snow Report

This Crested Butte snow report is updated daily or sometimes even more frequently with fresh photos, snow totals, weather forecasts, and activity recommendations so you know exactly when and where to go for the best snow in the area.

The snow has started, and it should continue over the next two days! Another 6 inches overnight, and over a foot of snow in the last 24 hours. Its a powder day at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and the North Face lift is open. The new snow will make sports like nordic skiing and fat biking a bit tougher, until grooming is complete (check out the CB Nordic Grooming Report, and CBMBA Facebook for fat bike grooming updates). These conditions are great for snowshoeing if you’re looking for recreation off the ski hill.

Winter driving is tricky, especially in Colorado. Be sure to have an all weather car or chains if required for topping out on mountain passes.
