This is a pretty popular trail and can be busy during the summer months. The trail follows Cement Creek for its entire length and can provide access to several other trails such as Waterfall Creek Trail #555 and the Block and Tackle Trail #545. It begins to climb in elevation and becomes a little steep near the end; from here you can look back into the valley where the trail began. Ahead, Crystal Peak, Mt. Tilton, and Lambertson Peak are visible in the distance.
Motorcycling
Motorcycles are allowed on all of cement creek road/ trail 740. Along with the main trail most of the side trails you can connect with are motorized single track. view the map below for all trails open to motorcycles.
4Wheel Drive and ATV Use
4WD's and ATV's are allowed on Cement Creek Road/ Trail 740 and also Trail 759 to Italian Creek. Watch for sine-age along the trail to see where you can and cant ride ATV's

From the Town of Crested Butte: From Crested Butte, travel south on Highway 135 for approximately 6.5 miles to the intersection with Cement Creek Road, CR 740. County Road 740 becomes Forest Service Road #740. Follow CR 740 for approximately 8 miles. The trail begins at the end of the pavement.
