What is being done to keep guests safe?
All businesses in Mt. Crested Butte are following Gunnison County’s Public Health Order including:

All employees properly wearing masks
All customers properly wearing masks unless eating or drinking
Staff and customers maintain 6 feet distance at all times
Daily employee health check by monitoring symptoms
All employees properly wash hands upon entry, departure, and at least every 30 minutes
Bathroom cleaned hourly with cleaning log
Sanitizer at entrance and centrally located
Public Health Order signs and Hygiene Protocols posted
Proper ventilation with HEPA Filters installed at businesses

Are face coverings required?
Yes. Face coverings are required inside all buildings in Mt. Crested Butte. Face Coverings will be required in every part of Crested Butte Mountain Resort including while loading and riding on chairlifts, inside all buildings, and during all ski and snowboard lessons. No one will be permitted on the mountain without a face covering.

Will restaurants be open?
Yes. Your favorite restaurants will still be open for takeout and dine in. Restaurants are currently operating at 50% or 50 person dine in capacity per public health orders. Bars without restaurant style food service and tables are closed. Last call will be at 11pm. Tables are arranged so that there is 6’ between all occupied chair backs. Every other booth will be left empty unless appropriate partitions are in place. No service or seating at in-use bar unless partitions are used or there is a clearly designated section of the bar separated by 6’. Single use or cleanable menus are required.

Tips for staying safe during your visit?
Wash your hands, physical distance, and wear a mask. Only ski or ride with those in your immediate group. Enjoy takeout from the comfort of your hotel/lodging. And most importantly, enjoy the fresh mountain air and your time in Mt. Crested Butte

Face Coverings Required
Face coverings will be required to access the mountain, in all indoor spaces, in any line,
on chairlifts and whenever you are unable to maintain physical distance.

Pass Holder Reservations
For guest safety, on-mountain access will be managed this season. Reservations will be required, and pass holders will get priority access. Learn More >

Lift Tickets
Tickets are on sale as of Dec. 8, 2020. Lift tickets are limited this season, so we encourage all guests to purchase in advance to secure their spot on the mountain. Learn More >

Cashless Transactions
All transactions will be cashless. This includes at hotels, restaurants, Ski and Ride School, and all other points of sale. For the best experience, book and pay online in advance.

CB Nordic - Cross Country Skiing
CB is the nordic ski capital of Colorado with over 50Km of premier groomed trails for classic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. You can use your own or rent skis or snowshoes from CB Nordic in advance and pick them up outside of the Nordic Center. An Adult Rental is $20 for the day. Learn More >

Snowshoeing
For those who love hiking, snowshoeing is your winter counterpart. Looking for fun, easy trails within 3 minutes of the mountain? Snodgrass Road and Gothic Road offer two world class trails to be enjoyed by the whole family (including dogs).

Fat Biking
A fun, low impact winter activity that is a great alternative to skiing. It’s easier on your body and you still get to see the surrounding mountains in an active way. Rent one of these large wheeled contraptions (or bring your own) and hit the trails. Learn More>

Looking for a unique experience to tell your friends about? Try being pulled by a team of dogs through the snow filled wilderness of the Colorado Rockies. Learn More>

Fire & Ice
Swing by the Coffee Lab in Mountaineer Square, grab your favorite winter beverage, and cozy up next to one of the outdoor fire pits.

Hot Tubbin
Both the Nordic Inn and Elevation Hotel have outdoor, capacity-limited hot tubs. A snowy soak can do wonders for a sore body.

Spa and Massage
There's no better way to relieve soreness and truly feel like you're on vacation than with a spa or massage treatment. Luckily both the Elevation Spa and Wildflower Spa are located in the base area of Mt. Crested Butte.

Lift tickets will not be sold for the early season, but Epic Day Passes are available now.

Getting Around

Free public shuttles will take you anywhere you need to go

No Car, No Problem. The free Mountain Express Shuttles are the best way to get around while you're here. With 5 different routes you can get anywhere you need from the Mountaineer Square Transit Station.

Here are some easy ways to make your trip more sustainable!

Avoid single use plastic by bringing a reusable water bottle and fill up some of the best tasting tap water in Colorado!

Instead of driving around town, take the free public shuttles or walk to your destination.

Using a reusable face mask helps keep down on waste and lets you look more stylish while walking around town
