Directions

From Elk Ave, head south on on highway 135 for a block before turning left on Red Lady Ave (At the CB School). Drive past the school and take a right onto 9th street, follow the road as it loops behind the school and park in the lot on the left hand side next to the baseball field.

Route

From the parking lot head out on the connector trail and you will quickly find the Town Ranch Loop. If you don't have a Nordic Trail pass make sure to stay on the free trails, which are marked with signs. This flat loop is groomed courtesy of Crested Butte Nordic. Enjoy the 2 mile loop as many times as you like.

For a larger loop, head south on the trail directly across from the parking lot, and instead of circling back at the other end cross Riverbend Dr. Here you will find the smaller 1.5 mile Riverbend Loop! This trail is also open to cross country skiing, walking, snowshoeing, dogs, and fat biking so beware of other users.
