The Mountain Express Town Bus (formerly the Town Shuttle) is completely free and runs every day from Crested Butte to Mt. CB and back. The Town Bus is on its fall schedule through November 24th and stops at the same locations every 40 minutes, from 7:35 AM to around midnight.
The RTA bus gets you to and from Gunnison with stops along the way, including CB South. Its fall schedule runs about every 30 minutes, leaving the Crested Butte 4-Way for Gunnison from 6:48 AM to 11:38 PM. The RTA buses show up live on the map below, so you can see where yours is before you walk to the stop.

Dogs ride free with a current license from your local municipality (proof may be asked for), on a leash and muzzled. Free soft muzzles are on every bus.
Skis and snowboards ride inside with you. Keep hold of them.
Bikes go on the front rack, never inside. FirstTracks vans take six bikes on their racks in summer.
Every Mountain Express bus is wheelchair accessible and rides are free. For ADA paratransit, call (970) 349-5616 between 9 AM and 5 PM. FirstTracks has a wheelchair accessible van; choose the wheelchair option when you book.
One loop, Crested Butte to Mt. Crested Butte and back, every 40 minutes. A snow shower in the off season can keep the bus from stopping on Gothic Road at Crystal Road; if that looks likely, walk up to the Wood Creek/Mountain Edge stop on Snowmass Road. Each stop shows its next three departures; the bus repeats every 40 minutes until the last bus.

Loops from Mountaineer Square along Marcellina Lane: Three Seasons, Outrun, Ski Jump, Mountain Sunrise, the Chateaux and Marcellina Apartments, every 30 minutes. From 11 PM to midnight the Condo Express covers this loop: board at the Three Seasons stop at Mountaineer Square and tell the driver where you are going. Departures are minutes past the hour.
Loops from Mountaineer Square: Pitchfork, then Crystal Road, Castle Road, Hunter Hill Road and Snowmass Road, every 30 minutes. Crystal, Castle and Hunter Hill roads are flag stop areas: wave the bus down anywhere safe along them. From 11 PM to midnight the Condo Express covers this loop: board at the Three Seasons stop at Mountaineer Square and tell the driver where you are going. Departures are minutes past the hour.

Free buses between Gunnison and Mt. Crested Butte, stopping at Almont, CB South, Riverbend and the 4-Way, year round. No airport stop. Every stop and its times are on the map above under Valley.
