Kick off the new year with Neal Francis at the Center for the Arts. The Chicago-based singer, songwriter, and pianist blends vintage soul, funk, rock, and groove-driven piano with a modern edge, and the show is built for dancing: infectious rhythms, soulful songwriting, and a set that keeps the celebration going well past the holiday.
Francis’ latest album, Return To Zero, came out of a stretch of nearly 400 shows between 2021 and 2024, a beautifully strange tangle of timeless rock and roll and 70s dance music. Gold Leader opens.
