Fall Colors Update: October Delight for Leaf Peepers

(10/2/13) – Great news for Colorado’s procrastinators: October has arrived, and although this typically signals the end of the fall colors for the Elk Mountains, this year’s rain and snow has postponed that schedule.  As of the first week of the month, there are still many large patches of green aspen that have yet to don their yellow and orange outfits.  The weather (other than Friday’s possible snow), should continue to be excellent for leaf peeping with comfortable temps, and sunny skies.  Expect peak foliage this weekend into next week.
