Great films, greater people. The Crested Butte Film Festival returns for its 16th year, September 24 to 27, 2026, bringing more than 80 of the boldest new narrative and documentary films from around the world to a town better known for golden aspens and singletrack.
Guest programming director Lucy Lerner, a veteran of Telluride and Mountainfilm, shapes this year’s slate of features, shorts, and filmmaker panels. Screenings anchor at the Center for the Arts and the Majestic Theatre, with Q and As, parties, and the famous altitude-acclimating kickoff bike ride through the aspens in between.
