Fall Colors Update: October Delight for Leaf Peepers

(10/2/13) โ€“ Great news for Coloradoโ€™s procrastinators: October has arrived, and although this typically signals the end of the fall colors for the Elk Mountains, this yearโ€™s rain and snow has postponed that schedule. ย As of the first week of the month, there are still many large patches of green aspen that have yet to don their yellow and orange outfits. ย The weather (other than Fridayโ€™s possible snow), should continue to be excellent for leaf peeping with comfortable temps, and sunny skies. ย Expect peak foliage this weekend into next week.
