What type of vehicle do I need?
Please bring your own vehicle. This is a jeep trip on difficult mountain mining roads. Obstacles range from simple potholes to tight and difficult rocky trails. Jeep Wranglers are the vehicle of choice and mild additions like lift kits and larger tires are recommended. As always, please make sure you have at least: extra water, a functional spare tire, an appropriate jack and tools supplied by Jeep or a highlift jack, tire changing tools, snacks, extra coats and/or a blanket, an umbrella for sun or rain, and durable hiking shoes that are also comfortable. We do not recommend any SUVs, but there are exceptions for vehicles that have been modified to tackle off road terrain – these vehicles will need to be approved by the CBMF via photograph.
