Center for the Arts: Trout Steak Revival

When Trout Steak Revival won the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition in 2014, they emerged on the roots music scene to listeners anticipating progressive bluegrass with a hint of jam, and folks werenโt disappointed. TSR’s unique brand of mountain music stood out and caught the attention of fans and DJs, garnering them โBest Bluegrass Bandโ (Westword,ย 2016 and 2017), and being chosen by the State of Colorado to represent the culture of its citizens with aย Today Showย appearance.

Her voice is a gentle call to the present, her fiddling as exuberant as it is graceful. Lizzyโs debut solo album,ย Home Stone, isย dedicated toย thisย landscape and the peopleย supportingย herย musicianโs journey.โฏThese original songs, finding their root in the heart, vary fromย nostalgic country waltzesย andย bouncy old-time fiddle tunes to soulful blues hollers.ย Lizzy founded and toured with the harmony-driven female folk trio Free the Honey, reaching #1 on the Folk DJ Charts with their albumย Fine Bloom, and has additionally played with the likes of the Drewย Emmitย Band and Trout Steak Revival. Lizzy is joined by a distinguished quartet of Colorado Roots musicians.
