CBMBA: Annual Work Weekend and Volunteer Party
August 14 @ 10:00 am - August 15 @ 4:00 pm
Each year, awesome CBMBA volunteers come out for a full weekend of trail work and good times. We start work on Saturday morning and work throughout the day, then head back to the campsite at 4pm to enjoy a CBMBA-provided dinner and plenty of libations from Ska Brewing. Volunteers are invited to camp out on-site, enjoy a campfire and laughs, and then wake up to a CBMBA-provided breakfast and coffee. Everyone will hit the trail again Sunday morning to dig in some more new track.
This year, we will be hosting our Volunteer Party on Saturday afternoon at the campsite, and we will honor our 2021 “Keeper of the Trail” at that time. As always, we will have prizes and giveaways. Don’t miss this community event!
When: Saturday 8/14 and Sunday 8/15, beginning work at 10am each day. We recommend camping out with us on Saturday night! We will be hosting our Volunteer Party on Saturday evening at the campsite, where we will honor our 2021 “Keeper Of The Trail”. As always, we will have prizes and giveaways.
Where: Middle Cement Creek Campground. Drive approx. 3.7 miles up Cement Creek Road and look for the CBMBA tent on the right side of the road at the Cement Creek Campground. This is where you’ll check in, sign a waiver, and get the run-down on what segment to head toward. We will get started at 10am, but you can check in later if necessary.
Details: Work will start on Saturday morning at 10am. We’ll break up into multiple groups, each with a crew leader, and head to a section of trail for instruction followed by construction. At 4pm, everyone will head back to the campsite to enjoy libations from Ska Brewing, followed by a party for our volunteers, including prizes and an on-site dinner provided by Rim Tours. Volunteers are invited to camp out at the campground, enjoy a campfire and laughs, and then wake up Sunday morning to coffee, breakfast, and a make-your-own sandwich bar provided by Rim Tours. Everyone will hit the trail again to dig in some more new track. Sunday’s work will end at 4pm.
