When to Book
Ski Season (DecโApr)
Peak demand around the holidays and spring breaks. Book 2-4 months ahead for holidays, 4-6 weeks for midweek.
Summer (JunโSep)
Peak demand from end of June until early August. Book at least 6-8 weeks ahead for July.
Fall Colors (SepโOct)
Peak foliage mid/late Sept into early Oct. The locals' favorite. Book 2-4 weeks ahead.
Mud/Stick Season (AprโMay, early Nov)
AKA shoulder season. Some properties close or offer deep discounts. Best deals of the year for adventurous travelers.

Free Shuttle
Mountain Express buses every 15 min (ski and summer seasons) between downtown and Mt. CB. No car needed slopeside.
Altitude
Town sits at 8,885 feet. Drink water, skip alcohol on arrival night. Most adjust within 24โ48 hours.
Groceries
Stock up in Gunnison before driving up. CB options are more limited and typically pricier.
Cell Service
Spotty in Taylor Canyon, Cement Creek Road, and CB South. Download offline maps for remote cabin properties.
