Willowfly Anglers has been guiding the Upper Gunnison Valley for over 40 years out of Three Rivers Resort in Almont, where the Taylor and East Rivers meet to form the Gunnison. They’re the only Orvis-Endorsed Outfitter in the valley, a distinction that means their guides, gear, and private water access are held to Orvis Company standards. The full-service fly shop carries a complete Orvis lineup, and trip options run the gamut from half-day walk/wades for first-timers to private water floats targeting the trophy browns and rainbows the Taylor tailwater is famous for. Winter brings ice fishing on the reservoirs, and the in-house guide school turns aspiring anglers into working pros.
