SUMMARY:CB Nordic: Grin & Bear It Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:Continuously run for three decades\, The Grin & Bear It stands as Crested Butte’s oldest trail challenge. Historically presented as a sprint to Green Lake and back\, this classic event has evolved to offer a 25k Loop competition\, while still maintaining the traditional 15k Classic race. More Info & Sign Up \nCourses\n15K Out and Back – 9.3 grueling miles from the Town of Crested Butte to Green Lake and back with 1\,700 vertical feet of elevation gain and loss.  Participants will start at the Crested Butte Nordic Center and climb up to Journey’s End Road on the Bench where they will then turn onto the Green Lake Trail. The 4.5 mile trail winds its way up and over Gibson’s Ridge\, across Trapper’s Road\, ending at Green Lake.  Runners then return on the same route\, finishing at the Nordic Center. \n25.7 K Loop – This course starts and finishes at the CB Nordic Center. You’ll run up Baxter Gulch trail and connect to the Carbon Creek Trail all the way to Green Lake. SUMMARY:4th Annual CB Nordic Beer Ski (Canceled)
DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, due to the early spring conditions\, the Beer Ski is canceled this year.\nTest your end of season endurance\, Crested Butte Style! Grab 3 friends for a 4-person relay or take on the ultimate challenge of Solo Racer. We will be serving hot dogs and other snacks at the yurt\, with additional beer available for purchase. Competitors will receive a drink ticket for an extra post-race beer. \n  \nTickets &  Info \n  \nAll participants must be over 21 years old and show valid identification. \nSafe transportation home must be organized before the race. \nSolo racers will chug 12 oz. of beer then ski .5 mile\, repeating this four times with the fastest crowned the Drunken Master. Costumes are strongly encouraged. \nTeam Relay will consist of racers chug a 12 oz. canned beer then ski a .5 mile lap. They will remove their racing bib and hand it off to a teammate. The next teammate will don the racing bib\, chug\, ski\, repeat until all four racers have completed the course. Costumes are strongly encouraged. \nRelay Registration: Only the Team Captain needs to register per team.

Try the FUNSKI category with shorter distances.\n\nAll races will include 1K/3K distances for our youth competitors\, a 5K “Funski” distance\, and longer distances for the more competitive skiers. \nPoints will be awarded based on your finish in each race and tabulated World Cup style over the season.
