CB Rotary: 31st Annual Duckie Race
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be primarily selling tickets online (coming soon!) and we will not be selling or giving away merchandise. We will have the race on August 2nd and will be live streaming the event. No matter where you are you can watch the event and cheer for your duck(s)!
The Great Rubber Duckie Race is the Crested Butte/Mt Crested Butte Rotary Club’s sole fundraiser for the year. We host the duck race on Coal Creek the first Sunday in August and it’s a lot of fun!
Each $10 ticket or $500 Big Duck goes towards our goal of raising over $55,000 each year.
Where does the money go?
Each year, the CB/Mt CB Rotary has two grant cycles where roughly $8,000 is distributed to local non-profit organizations that have a focus on providing resources and scholarships to children as well as organizations that our community depends on.
Every spring the Rotary gives $25,000 in college scholarships to local students headed off to college. These students apply and go through an interview process that helps prepare them for future endeavors.
Support from our community, members, visitors, family and friends has made the Rubber Duckie Race an integral part of summer in Crested Butte. Your continued donations and efforts have helped to raise over $50,000 annually. Visit Community Support to see exactly where your money goes!
Thank you for supporting the Crested Butte Community through your participation in the Great Rubber Duckie Race.
Every year, we start off the summer with the annual duck sorting party. Check out photos from the 2018 party here!
