Directions

Driving:

From Crested Butte take Gothic Road north from town for 4 miles. CBMR and Mt. CB allow parking right there where the N. Village track starts, just below the Snodgrass Trailhead, at the Fantasy Ranch stable/corral.  It’s a pullout just off Gothic Road on the West side, and the track starts right there.

Biking from Town:

Take the Recreation Path (CB Nordic groomed) in the NE corner of Town, up to Mt. CB. Stay on the Rec Path all the way past the Mt. CB Town Hall and follow to North Village.

Route

Just below the Snodgrass Trailhead at the end of Gothic Road (FS #317), and under the flank of Snodgrass is North Village in Mt. Crested Butte. A Crested Butte Mountain Resort owned piece of land they allow CBMBA to groom Fat Bike single track on for all non-motorized folks to enjoy. A wee bit of a climb at the start and finish, the rest is fun flowy track designed to groove on a Fat Bike! Fun for all abilities, this is also the home of the first race of the Fat Bike World Championships! If you're looking for more riding check out Gothic Road  or Snodgrass Road next to North Village.
