SUMMARY:Live at Almont Resort: King Ropes
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a night of dessert rock with King Ropes where we’ll be lassoing good times from the moment it kicks off on February 13th! \nSuper Natural\, King Ropes’ fifth album\, is at once their most ambitious and most intimate work\, expanding the parameters of the band’s desert rock and ragged americana sound. It is buoyed by a directness that brings out Hollier’s most stirring songwriting to date. Hollier has a gift for writing about tragedy and pain with wry humor and conversational bluntness. Long-simmering family trauma\, visions of animal reincarnation\, mysterious respiratory ailments — all are worthy songwriting prompts as the record vacillates from the pounding rhythms of “Hello Sun” and thick\, stoner-rock roar of “Drunk Donny” to the tenderness of “Sure\,” a sorrowful\, synth-driven ode to regret\, and the quietly stunning\, disarmingly plainspoken “Breathing”.

SUMMARY:Natural Selection Tour DUELS Celebration Concert
DESCRIPTION:The brainchild of snowboarding icon Travis Rice\, the Natural Selection Tour features the world’s top snowboarders competing on natural and naturally enhanced terrain to crown the top men’s and women’s all-around snowboarders in the world. \nCrested Butte Mountain Resort will host one of six YETI Natural Selection DUELS events: a series of head-to-head competitions deciding who will advance to the final two stages of the Tour in Revelstoke\, British Columbia. While the DUEL itself is not open to the public\, the entire community is invited to celebrate YETI Natural Selection DUELs coming to town with a free concert and party on snow next to Red Lady Express on Feb. 10th. \nBlack Joe Lewis and the Honeybears: It’s a vital and distinctly American voice that never anticipated the attention he wound up receiving\, never went looking for it either. It just started happening. The garage\, the blues\, the propulsive and synergistic live performances that inhabit the spaces of James Brown\, Lightnin’ Hopkins\, and the MC5…those things happened naturally from the very beginning and could only be accurately communicated in the live experience\, not a press release or a slick brand campaign. We know that Joe Lewis is genuinely doing his thing and that he’d do it regardless of what’s coming down the pipe. A stone cold original and a veteran at that. \n

SUMMARY:Live at the Center: John Craigie w/Special Guest Daniel Rodriguez
DESCRIPTION:Portland\, OR-based singer\, songwriter\, and producer John Craigie adapts moments of solitude into stories perfectly suited for old Americana fiction anthologies. Instead of leaving them on dog-eared pages\, he projects them widescreen in flashes of simmering soul and folk eloquence. \nCraigie sells out shows consistently coast-to-coast and earns acclaim from Rolling Stone\, Glide Magazine\, No Depression\, and many more. \nCraigie has reached a series of watershed moments. Beyond headlining venues such as The Fillmore and gracing the stage of Red Rocks Amphitheater\, his 2020 offering Asterisk The Universe earned unanimous tastemaker applause. Rolling Stone noted\, “tracks like ‘Don’t Deny’ and ‘Climb Up’ bridge a Sixties and Seventies songwriter vibe with the laid-back cool of Jack Johnson\, an early supporter of Craigie\,” while Glide Magazine hailed it as “one of his best records.” \nPerhaps\, No Depression put it best\, “For many weary and heavy- listeners hearted\, the album might be exactly what they need.” Along the way\, he generated over 40 million total streams and counting\, speaking to his unassuming impact. \n  \nTickets & Info \n

SUMMARY:Live at the Center: Martin Sexton
DESCRIPTION:Martin Sexton returns with what RollingStone calls his “soul-marinated voice\,” acoustic guitar\, and a suitcase full of heartfelt songs. \nThe 2023-2024 Tour takes Martin across North America in support of his latest ep 2020 Vision (produced by 3-time Grammy nominee John Alagia (Lukas Nelson\, John Mayer\, Dave Matthews) as well as reinventing his own classics for these critically-acclaimed solo performances. \nStill fiercely independent and headlining venues from The Fillmore to Carnegie Hall\, he has influenced a generation of contemporary artists. His songs have appeared in television series such as Scrubs\, Parenthood\, Masters of Sex\, Sprung\, and in numerous films\, though it’s his incendiary live show\, honest lyrics\, and vocal prowess that keep fans coming back for a new experience every time. \n  \nTickets & Info \n

SUMMARY:Live At Almont Resort: Easy Jim
DESCRIPTION:Tickets & Info \n \n“Settle back easy\, Jim…” The words of Robert Hunter in the song “Althea” seemed to fit the mold of the band when it began in the fall of 2018 . The laid back group of musicians from Gunnison and Crested Butte\, Colorado found a common love for the music with one another and a desire to learn and perform the material. \nThe six piece ensemble features the same instrumentation as the Grateful Dead including two drummers and four part vocal harmonies. Easy Jim is known for their exciting original improvisations\, high energy performances\, and attention to detail. No two shows are ever the same and it’s always Easy Jim’s mission to provide a visceral concert experience that pays tribute to one of the most infamous rock ‘n’ roll bands\, The Grateful Dead . \nwww.easyjimband.net

SUMMARY:Live at the Center: Infamous Stringdusters
DESCRIPTION:Formed in 2005\, the Nashville-based acoustic group the Infamous Stringdusters balance a fluency in old-timey bluegrass and indie jamgrass sensibilities with an emphasis on strong instrumental work plus a sound that’s both organic and groove friendly. \nThe band earned a stellar reputation among bluegrass fans right out of the box\, earning three International Bluegrass Music Association awards after the release of their 2007 debut album\, Fork in the Road\, and they began exploring a more ambitious musical approach with 2010’s Things That Fly that won them favor with the acoustic jam band community. \nThe Stringdusters’ genre-spanning approach got a workout on 2016’s Ladies & Gentlemen\, in which they collaborated with 11 different female guest musicians\, and they took a clear-eyed look at social and political issues on their 2022 effort Toward the Fray. \n  \nTickets & Info \n

SUMMARY:Live at Almont Resort: Andy Frasco and the U.N.
DESCRIPTION:Tickets & Info \n \nAndy Frasco & The U.N. have long been the high-flying DIY renegades of the touring scene known and loved for their kaleidoscopic musical fusion and one-of-a-kind onstage audacity. Now celebrating their longevity\, the band is shaking things up with L’Optimist (Fun MachineRecords/Soundly)\, as its title suggests\, Frasco’s most hopeful and enthusiastic collection thus far. \nA testament to Frasco’s wide-ranging influences and boundless energy\, his band’s sixth released studio album sees the magnetic frontman continuing to chart his path of self-exploration and personal discovery through increasingly introspective lyricism and musical adventure. \nSongs like “Everything Bagel (Feat. Artikal Sound System)” and the deeply moving “Iowa Moon” touch on matters of the heart and mental health\, emotional struggle and the sheer vulnerability of the human experience\, all relayed through a wildly eclectic approach navigating funk\, jazz\, surf rock\, blues\, swing\, gospel\, reggae\, exotica\, and more with horn-blasted positivity and soulful power. \nHaving spent the first part of his career making his bones as a fun-loving frontman with a self-proclaimed “gift of gab\,” Frasco pushed his songwriting in more personal directions with 2020’s Keep On Keepin’ On and 2022’s Wash\, Rinse\, Repeat.

SUMMARY:Live Theatre Reading: Henry and Ellen
DESCRIPTION:Tickets & Info \n  \nHenry and Ellen is a powerful and moving two character play that tells the love story of two of the greatest actors of all time\, Sir Henry Irving and his leading lady\, Ellen Terry. Henry is brilliant\, eccentric\, deeply inhibited offstage\, narrow in range but astonishingly powerful\, meticulous and driven. Ellen is spontaneous\, utterly charming\, much more inclined to take things as they come\, and compulsively makes fun of him. But they are two wounded people who find each other\, love each other\, and work together wonderfully for many years before Ellen’s growth and Henry’s inflexibility threaten to tear them apart forever. \nA tribute to two great performers and extraordinarily compelling people\, this play contains a wealth of exceptional monologue and scene material for actors.

SUMMARY:Live At Almont Resort: Easy Jim
DESCRIPTION:“Settle back easy\, Jim…” The words of Robert Hunter in the song “Althea” seemed to fit the mold of the band when it began in the fall of 2018 .

SUMMARY:Live at Almont Resort: Son Little
DESCRIPTION:Tickets & Info \n  \nSon Little\, praised by American Songwriter as “one of the best songwriters working today\,” conceived his latest album\, Like Neptune\, in a cabin overlooking the Delaware River in upstate New York. Trading in the existential dread permeating his previous work for unbridled joy and self-acceptance\, Son Little transmutes the chronic pain of self-doubt into a beautiful and freeing opus about overcoming generational trauma. Hailed by Afropunk as “a stunning statement of purpose\,” Like Neptune decorates the altar of the primordial blues and elevating the labor of healing to high art. “I’ve always felt as though I was making music because I had to\, something inside compelled me. Fueled me\,” Little shared. “This the first time in a long time I’m making music for the pure joy of creating.” \nSon Little and his band\, comprised of Little on vocals/guitar\, Steve McKie (drums)\, and DeShawn Alexander (keys/bass)\, will tour North America for the first time support of Like Neptune through November and December.
