DESCRIPTION:Join in for the 7th edition of Emma Coburn’s Elk Run 5k! Race in person in Crested Butte\, Colorado to run in paradise at 9\,000ft elevation or participate virtually anywhere in the world. Our aim is to provide an epic race day experience for everyone while raising money for a great local charity. In total\, we have raised $265\,000 for Living Journeys\, a charity that supports local residents who are battling cancer. The 2023 Elk Run 5k will be run in honor of Emma’s mom\, Annie\, who passed away in January 2023 after a three year battle with Stage 4 colon cancer. We hope to make Annie proud! \nAll racers\, both in person and virtual\, will get a swag bag. The Elk Run tote bag includes the exclusive Elk Run 5k hat\, a bib\, and sponsor goodies. The in-person race will be in Crested Butte\, CO starting at 3rd & Elk. There will be a high school race to start the day followed by the citizen’s race. After the races\, stick around for our after-party! \nAll virtual racers will be shipped their Race Bag in August and on race day\, racers can run a 5k wherever they choose and will share their results on social with the Elk Run community. Many of our guest musicians have performed in the past with the Crested Butte Music Festival\, and all are noteworthy musicians in their home states\, performing with ensembles including the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra\, The Florida Orchestra\, the Knoxville Symphony\, Western State University\, and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. \nDerek Carden\, longtime friend of Crested Butte\, renowned conductor and organist\, flies in from London\, UK to conduct this production. DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Town of Mt. Crested Butte and the TCCA\, Music on the Mountain returns this summer! Every Wednesday from June 21 – August 9\, join us at the Red Lady stage for free live music. New this year\, each show will include a local opening act. Food and beverage will be served during the event. DESCRIPTION:The Alpenglow free concerts series is back for 2023! Starting Monday\, June 19th every week for a total of 9 weeks this summer\, the outdoor event will be held at the Center for the Arts outdoor stage once again. \nJune 19 | Juneteenth/Black Opry \nJune 26 | Violet Pilot \nJuly 3    | Rapidgrass \nJuly 10  | Jacob Larson \nJuly 17  | The Goonies\, ’80s tribute band \nJuly 24  | Izcalli  \nJuly 31  | Mighty Mystic \nAug 7  | Madeline Hawthorn \nAug 14  | Shakedown Street \n Know before you ‘glow\nThere are a few rules and regulations we must follow to continue bringing the concert series to you and we ask that you read this and respect the policies. \nNO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL\nThe Center for the Arts sells beer\, wine\, and liquor under a special events license with the Town of Crested Butte. As such\, no outdoor alcohol is allowed at the event. Please respect this policy and refrain from bringing your own alcoholic beverages. Support the Center and future Alpenglow concerts by purchasing your libations through the Center’s bar. \nNO PETS\nAs much as we love your furry family members\, dogs are not allowed in Town Park. Please leave your pets at home. \nNO GLASS\nGlass is not allowed in Town Park. Please bring your nonalcoholic beverages in cans or plastic containers. \nDO NOT EMPTY YOUR ICE CHEST\nPlease respect Town’s regulation to not empty your ice chest on the park lawn.
