DESCRIPTION:This beloved annual event will once again start with a Military March at 9:15am from 2nd Street\, down Elk Avenue to the Crested Butte Cemetery. \n\nAt 10am\, mass for the fallen will be held at the cemetery chapel\n11am Military Gun Salute then a march back to town.\nAt 11:45am\, lunch will be provided at the Queen of All Saints Parish Hall\, 405 Sopris.\nFollowing lunch\, a polka dance featuring The Pete Dunda Band will be held from 1:30pm-4:30pm at the Hall.\n\nIt will be a wonderful opportunity to remember and honor our military service members\, a chance to share a meal with our community and a fun time with The Pete Dunda Band! We’ll have a range of puzzle difficulties available (100\, 200\, and 300 pieces)\, making this event accessible for all experience levels. \n\nPuzzle Chess – A one-on-one challenge using 100-piece puzzles and a chess clock. Race against another puzzler\, compare times\, and see how you stack up. Jump in anytime—no formal start required.\nPairs Relay – A crowd favorite! Teams of two compete on two puzzles\, switching every five minutes. Strategy\, communication\, and quick thinking are key as you tag in and out to complete your puzzles.\nTeam & Pairs Competitions – Depending on the crowd\, we’ll also run traditional head-to-head formats with pairs (two people) or teams (four people) working together to complete puzzles as quickly as possible.\n\nThere will be two Speed Puzzle Happy Hours: April 22 and May 29. May 29 will be family-friendly\, with a special welcome to youth (15 and under)\, though both events are open to all ages. Filmed in a raw\, cinematic style\, the series follows Bjarne as he steps into the everyday lives of athletes and public figures\, leading to intimate conversations over a traditional Swedish “fika”: a simple coffee break centered around slowing down and connecting. It’s a rare\, behind-the-scenes look at the real people\, honest\, personal and not yet seen anywhere. \nThe evening will include a giveaway from Coros and UTU\, proud sponsors of Fika with Bjarne\, as part of a fundraiser for CB State of Mind. Please donate when you purchase tickets or at the event to enter. \n \nPresented in partnership with the Crested Butte Film Festival and Bjarne Salén. \n  \n \n  \n  \nBjarne Salén\, is a a 37-year-old cinematographer\, director\, and professional athlete living in Crested Butte\, Colorado. I’ve lived in the United States for 11 years and spent six years in Chamonix\, France\, where I started Endlessflow Films in 2010. Endlessflow Films makes adventure films and photos from places most filmmakers can’t reach — wild ski lines\, remote river gorges\, and cultural expedition stories. I also created The Fifty Project and Fika With Bjarne to share ideas and moments from life on the move. My work blends skiing\, climbing\, kayaking\, and storytelling to capture close\, personal mountain footage. \n
