Crested Butte is known for its outdoor playground, but often times conditions can get a bit tough or you may need a change of pace. Crested Butte has plenty of conveniently located options from Riverland just south of town all the way to the mountain. Yoga For The Peaceful is a green, grassroots community yoga studio and the home of Shiva Rea’s 200-Hour Prana Vinyasa Teacher Training and Crested Butte Yoga Retreats. They offer a variety of yoga classes including yoga basics, Prana Vinyasa, easy flow, restorative yoga and meditation. A single class drop-in is $18, but you’ll get an even better deal if you purchase a 3, 5 or 10-class pass. There is also a small boutique featuring eco-conscious yoga lifestyle products. There are three public fitness centers in the Crested Butte area. The Elevation Spa, which is located in the Elevation Hotel on the Mountain, The Gym, located in Riverland, and Crested Butte Cross Fit which is just on the corner at the 4way stop.
The Elevation Spa offers daily, weekly, and monthly fitness memberships that include full use of the locker facilities, pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna. The costs are $25 for the day, $100 for the week, and $150 for the month.
The Gym offers a number of different memberships as well as many group classes. A 1 month membership is $100 and price varies on your committed monthly use. For business hours and fees check out their website.
