Is it safe to fly on an airplane?
The latest research is showing that aircraft cabins are among the safest of public indoor environments. According to a recent study conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), the risk of COVID-19 exposure on board airplanes is almost zero thanks to advanced air filtration systems, required mask-wearing and diligent cleaning protocols. What is being done to keep guests safe?
All businesses in Mt. Crested Butte are following Gunnison Countyโs Public Health Order including:
- All employees properly wearing masks
- All customers properly wearing masks unless eating or drinking
- Staff and customers maintain 6 feet distance at all times
- Daily employee health check by monitoring symptoms
- All employees properly wash hands upon entry, departure, and at least every 30 minutes
- Bathroom cleaned hourly with cleaning log
- Sanitizer at entrance and centrally located
- Public Health Order signs and Hygiene Protocols posted
- Proper ventilation with HEPA Filters installed at businesses
Are face coverings required?
Yes. Face coverings are required inside all buildings in Mt. Crested Butte. Face Coverings will be required in every part of Crested Butte Mountain Resort including while loading and riding on chairlifts, inside all buildings, and during all ski and snowboard lessons. No one will be permitted on the mountain without a face coverings.
Will restaurants be open?
Yes. Your favorite restaurants will still be open for takeout and dine in. Restaurants are currently operating at 50%ย ย or 50 person dine in capacity per public health orders. Bars without restaurant style food service and tables are closed. Last call will be at 11pm. Tables are arranged so that there is 6โ between all occupied chair backs. Every other booth will be left empty unless appropriate partitions are in place. No service or seating at in-use bar unless partitions are used or there is a clearly designated section of the bar separated by 6โ. Single use or cleanable menus are required.ย
Tips for staying safe during your visit?
Wash your hands, physical distance, and wear a mask. Only ski or ride with those in your immediate group. Enjoy takeout from the comfort of your hotel/lodging. And most importantly, enjoy the fresh mountain air and your time in Mt. Crested Butte.
